“I wanted a camper van that isn’t too big and that I can also use as a normal car. At the moment, I mainly use it to go to work. But I love the freedom and flexibility that this campervan brings me.”
“My tiny van is not meant to go full-time vanlife. But now I can go on short trips wherever I want, whenever I want. And if I have a drink with friends, I can just sleep in my van instead of driving home.”

My Mini Van To Camper Conversion
Since my van is tiny, I can only include my basic needs in the conversion process. I also want to keep the design simple to build, so I can easily make changes in the future if I need to.
These are the things I built into my minivan camper:

Wood and Vinyl Floor
I cut out a base floor from a wooden plank and fit a layer of vinyl floor on top of it, perfectly cut to size. I chose the print that looks like oak planks.
Insulation
I have insulated the walls of my van. The ceiling however will remain unaltered in order to preserve headroom in this small van.
Inner Walls
After the insulation was finished, I covered it up with wooden walls. Other parts like the ceiling, I covered it with carpet.
Sofa – Bed
An absolute necessity for a small camper is a sofa that you can convert into a bed. This will save a lot of space whilst still providing a decent-sized bed.
Custom Mattress
Because my van is very small, a full-size mattress won’t fit. This is why most van conversions include a DIY custom mattress that fits the sofa-bed perfectly.
Kitchen with Sink
I made a frame with a counter. I included these features: a fold-out table, a cool box, a gas stove and a plastic sink with my water system.
